What is
Oracle Net Services
Oracle Net Services provides enterprise-wide
connectivity solutions in distributed, heterogeneous
computing environments. Oracle Net Services eases the
complexities of network configuration and management,
maximizes performance, and improves network diagnostic
capabilities.
The .NET Framework provides several runtime hosts. It
also supports the development of third-party runtime
hosts. For example, ASP.NET hosts the runtime to provide
a scalable, server-side environment for managed code.
ASP.NET works directly with the runtime to enable
ASP.NET applications and XML Web services.
The .NET Framework can be hosted by unmanaged components
such as the Internet Explorer. These load the common
language runtime into their processes and initiate the
execution of managed code. This creates a software
environment that can exploit both managed and unmanaged
features. This makes for mobility of the code.
.NET Framework
A programming infrastructure created by Microsoft for
building, deploying, and running applications and
services that use .NET technologies, such as desktop
applications and Web services.
The .NET Framework contains three major parts:
* the Common Language Runtime
* the Framework Class Library
* ASP.NET.
c++ Jobs
A high-level programming language developed by Bjarne
Stroustrup at Bell Labs. C++ adds object-oriented
features to its predecessor, C. C++ is one of the most
popular programming language for graphical applications,
such as those that run in Windows and Macintosh
environments.
Java Jobs
Java is an object-oriented language similar to C++, but
simplified to eliminate language features that cause
common programming errors. Java source code files (files
with a .java extension) are compiled into a format
called bytecode (files with a .class extension), which
can then be executed by a Java interpreter. Compiled
Java code can run on most computers because Java
interpreters and runtime environments, known as Java
Virtual Machines (VMs), exist for most operating
systems, including UNIX, the Macintosh OS, and Windows.
Bytecode can also be converted directly into machine
language instructions by a just-in-time compiler (JIT).
VISUAL BASIC JOBS
A programming language and environment developed by
Microsoft. Based on the BASIC language, Visual Basic was
one of the first products to provide a graphical
programming environment and a paint metaphor for
developing user interfaces. Instead of worrying about
syntax details, the Visual Basic programmer can add a
substantial amount of code simply by dragging and
dropping controls, such as buttons and dialog boxes, and
then defining their appearance and behavior.
Although not a true object-oriented programming language
in the strictest sense, Visual Basic nevertheless has an
object-oriented philosophy. It is sometimes called an
event-driven language because each object can react to
different events such as a mouse click.
Since its launch in 1990, the Visual Basic approach has
become the norm for programming languages. Now there are
visual environments for many programming languages,
including C, C++, Pascal, and Java. Visual Basic is
sometimes called a Rapid Application Development (RAD)
system because it enables programmers to quickly build
prototype applications.
AEROSPACE ENGINEERING JOBS
The intellectual descendants of the Wright brothers,
aerospace engineers design and develop some of the
world’s most marvelous machines. Commercial airplanes,
military fighter jets, and space telescopes are all
brainchildren of aerospace engineers. But aerospace
technology has plenty of earthbound applications, such
as aiding in the design of race cars and golf balls.
AGRICULTURAL ENGINEERING JOBS
Agricultural engineers design farm and food processing
equipment, construct crop storage and livestock
buildings, and develop systems for drainage, irrigation,
and waste disposal. Sometimes agricultural engineers
work in labs like EPCOT's Land Pavilion, where they
experiment with promising indoor farming techniques such
as hydroponics-the science of growing plants in fluids
without dirt.
ARCHITECTURAL ENGINEERING JOBS
Working alongside architects, architectural engineers
focus on the safety, cost, and construction methods of
designing a building. For example, as the United States
population grows in the Southwest, more and more
architectural engineers are investigating new ways to
build on land where there is only sand and sagebrush.
BIOENGINEERING/BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERING JOBS
Bioengineering combines biology and engineering. Some of
these engineers work closely with biologists and medical
doctors to develop medical instruments, artificial
organs, and prosthetic devices. Others investigate
questions that involve technology and humans such as:
How does working with computers all day affect one's
health?
CHEMICAL ENGINEERING JOBS
Chemical engineers take raw materials and turn them into
the products that we use every day. This means that they
are crucial to producing pharmaceuticals, soft drinks,
and even makeup. Many chemical engineers work with
petroleum and plastics, although both of these are the
subject of independent disciplines. The term
“environmental engineering” also applies to certain
areas of chemical engineering, such as pollution
control.
THE ENGINEERING ALPHABET: CIVIL ENGINEERING JOBS
Working in one of the largest branches of engineering,
civil engineers deal with buildings, bridges, dams,
roads, and other structures. They plan, design, and
supervise the construction of facilities such as
high-rise buildings, airports, water treatment centers,
and sanitation plants. In the near future, civil
engineers will design the special rail beds for the
magnetic levitation trains of tomorrow. And in the
distant future of sci-fi speculation, it will be civil
engineers who make Mars a hospitable habitat for humans.
COMPUTER/SOFTWARE ENGINEERING JOBS
Computer engineers deal with all aspects of computer
systems including design, construction, and operation.
Some computer engineers specialize in areas like digital
systems, operating systems, computer networks, and
software. For example, we rely on computer engineers to
design the software for a computer simulation that will
test stress points in a bridge before it is built.
ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING JOBS
Electrical engineering, the discipline that employs the
largest number of engineers, covers everything related
to electrical devices, systems, and the use of
electricity. Electrical engineers work on power plants,
computers, and other electrical devices. Electrical
engineers are designing the dashboard computers that
will monitor engine functions on automobiles of the
future.
ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING JOBS
Environmental engineers assist with the development of
water distribution systems, recycling methods, sewage
treatment plants, and other pollution prevention and
control systems in the water, air, and land.
Environmental engineers constantly seek new ways to
reduce air pollution and pesticides.
INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING JOBS
Industrial engineers organize the people, information,
energy, materials, and machines involved in the
production process. They are concerned with plant design
and management, quality control, and the human factors
of engineering. Industrial engineers perform tasks such
as finding the best location for a high-tech company's
new plant.
MANUFACTURING ENGINEERING JOBS
Cars, computers, microwave ovens, IPODs, MP3s, bicycles,
video games, sports equipment, aircraft, athletic shoes,
wheel-chairs, sunglasses, medical devices . . . every
thing you see and use must be made – manufactured.
Manufacturing engineers design, plan, develop, improve,
and manage the machinery, processes, and systems that
produce these products. Manufacturing engineers make
industries and businesses competitive and innovative.
They use knowledge of products, materials, processes,
assembly methods, production equipment, systems
capabilities, and quality standards to ensure that the
products meet customers’ expectations and are produced
at reasonable cost.
Manufacturing means making things. Manufacturing
engineers direct and coordinate the processes for making
things - from the beginning to the end. As businesses
try to make products better and at less cost, it turns
to manufacturing engineers to find out how.
Manufacturing engineers work with all aspects of
manufacturing from production control to materials
handling to automation. The assembly line is the domain
of the manufacturing engineer. Machine vision and
robotics are some of the more advanced technologies in
the manufacturing engineers toolkit.
METALLURGY AND MATERIALS ENGINEERING JOBS
Metallurgical and materials engineers extract, process,
refine, combine, and manufacture natural substances to
create new materials that are stronger and resist
corrosion. Metallurgical engineers work with metal only.
Teams of metallurgy and materials engineers created the
US Air Force's "stealth" technology that makes a fighter
plane's surface nearly invisible to radar.
TRANSPORTATION ENGINEERING JOBS
Transportation engineers design streets, highways, and
other transit systems that allow people and goods to
move safely and efficiently. For example, before
constructing a new sports stadium, city officials rely
on transportation engineers to plan traffic patterns
that will prevent major tie-ups after the game.
ENGINEERS ARE PROBLEM SOLVERS
Engineering offers more career options than any other
discipline. It’s a profession that can take you from the
depths of the ocean to the far reaches of outer space,
from within the microscopic structures of the human cell
to the top of the tallest skyscrapers. Whether it’s cell
phones, digital cameras, DVDs, or facial recognition
devices that can pick out a terrorist in a crowded
football stadium, engineers are behind almost all of
today’s exciting technology. Engineers are problem
solvers who search for quicker, better, and less
expensive ways to use the forces and materials of nature
to meet today’s challenges.
Engineering students have their pick of many fields.
From electrical to civil to aeronautical to biomedical,
every discipline within engineering will lead to an
exciting and rewarding career.
Pharma Jobs
Pharmacology (in Greek: pharmacon (f??µa???) meaning
drug, and logos (?????) meaning science) is the study of
how chemical substances interact with living systems. If
substances have medicinal properties, they are
considered pharmaceuticals. The field encompasses drug
composition and properties, interactions, toxicology,
therapy, and medical applications and antipathogenic
capabilities. The science is considered to have been
invented by Arabic physicians in Baghdad during the
Golden Age of Islam; pharmacopoeias were penned in
Arabic as early as the 7th century (Amin A. Khairallah:
Outline of Arabic Contributions to Medicine: Chapter X,
Chemistry and Pharmacy. 1946, ).
Development of medication is a vital concern to
medicine, but also has strong economical and political
implications. To protect the consumer and prevent abuse,
many governments regulate the manufacture, sale, and
administration of medication. In the United States, the
main body that regulates pharmaceuticals is the Food and
Drug Administration and they enforce standards set by
the United States Pharmacopoeia.
Pharmacology as a science is practiced by
pharmacologists. Subdisciplines are clinical
pharmacology (the medical field of medication effects on
humans), neuro- and psychopharmacology (effects of
medication on behavior and nervous system functioning),
and theoretical pharmacology.
Marketting jobs
"Did you know that over 80% of buyers are better at
closing a sale than the salespeople themselves?"
Have you ever left a sales presentation with a feeling
that you've just bought? You've bought the "stall", the
excuse or the "think it over". In other words, the buyer
has done a great job in selling to you!
Unpaid consultancy at it's highest level!
You know it's a stall - you've heard it hundreds of
times before from other prospects - and yet you just
could not find a way around it to close the sale. It may
be "I'll get back to you" or "I'll think it over for a
few days". However justifiable the words - it's a still
a stall.
KNOW ABOUT BPO-Business Process Outsourcing?JOBS
Business process outsourcing (BPO) is the act of giving
a third-party the responsibility of running what would
otherwise be an internal system or service. For
instance, an insurance company might outsource their
claims processing program or a bank might outsource
their loan processing system. Other common examples of
BPO are call centres and payroll outsourcing.
There are an estimated 300,000 mainly young people
working in the roughly five-year-old outsourcing
industry, which is set to grow 40 per cent in 2005 and
hit revenues of $5.1 billion, according to an industry
study.
A study by the National Association of Software and
Service Companies (Nasscom) projects business process
outsourcing --shifting jobs from countries like the
United States or Britain to countries like India --
could quadruple to 1.2 million jobs by 2008 and bring in
revenues of $21 to $24 billion.
Outsourcing is the delegation of tasks or jobs from
internal production to an external entity (such as a
subcontractor). Most recently, it has come to mean the
elimination of native staff to staff overseas, where
salaries are markedly lower

KNOW ABOUT CALL CENTRE?JOBS
A call centre (UK) or call center (US) is a centralised
office of a company that answers incoming telephone
calls from customers. A call center may be an office
that makes outgoing telephone calls to customers
(telemarketing). Such an office may also responds to
letters, faxes, e-mails and similar written
correspondence. However the term contact centre (UK) or
contact center (US) is often applied when such multiple
functions are blended in one office.
Data Entry Jobs
Organizations need to process a rapidly growing amount
of information. Data entry and information processing
workers help ensure the smooth and efficient handling of
information. By keying in text, entering data into a
computer, operating a variety of office machines, and
performing other clerical duties, these workers help
organizations keep up with the rapid changes that are
characteristic of today’s “Information Age.” In addition
to the job titles discussed below—such as word
processors, typists, and data entry keyers—data entry
and information processing workers are known by various
other titles, including electronic data processors,
keypunch technicians, and transcribers.
